Spirit Keeper
The Spirit Keeper will be at all home games to hand out rosters, answer questions for new members of our lacrosse community, and give gentle reminders when needed that our first mission is to honor the game.
Game Clock and Scorebook (Varsity, JV and 7/8)
Run the clock and keep track of stats at each of our home games. This can be done at away games as well, but it is up to the home team’s responsibility to attend to this.
The clock keeps track of all penalty time. The scorekeeper keeps track of all goals, assists, penalties, and groundballs.
These volunteers will compile stats and either enter them on the web page or give them to the coach at the conclusion of each game.
Team Photographer
We have ample room on our web page servers to add photos, video clips, etc. This person can either place the media on the web page or get it to the web page manager for placement.
Video
Aside from using video as a teaching tool, college coaches want to see our players in action. This volunteer will film games and get the video to the coach. Parents who shoot short video clips can send their clips to their respective coach who will get them up on the web.
Away Game Team Parent
We need to have a parent at each away game that would be available to drive a player to the hospital if they get hurt. This will allow the Coach to remain with the team and for the rest of the players to get home at a decent hour. If a player is injured, this parent will get the release form from the coach and make sure player’s parent is contacted.
Donation Help
You will be the point person for the club for donations so that it will be as easy as possible for business and individuals who support us to do so. We need help soliciting prizes for bingo from business, individuals and other organizations. If you do not have the time to take on this job and can help out in another capacity, please let us know!
End of the Year Picnic
We will gather at the end of the year to enjoy one last day of lacrosse before we call the season officially over. The day starts with a game of returning players and graduating seniors, and will eventually morph into a game where all ages (moms and dads included) are on the field. If you have a barbecue, desire to cook, or can help out in some other manner let us know.
